This section is located on Lehigh Road (CH5) 100N from 1200E to US Rte. 45 in Ford County, Illinois. The work performed on this section consists of cold milling the existing pavement, resurfacing with hot mix asphalt level binder and surface course, laying aggregate shoulders Type B along the edge of the pavement on the mainline and at the intersections and doing all other necessary work to complete the section.
This I-57 improvement project included milling existing HMA surface 3 ½” down to bare concrete, and replacing it with 2 ¼” of HMA binder and 1 ½” of HMA surface on the mainline and ramp pavement and the shoulders.
